This place is pretty amazing. I sat on the patio with my dog. Everything was supper yummy and the vibe is super casual. Will return.

Great atmosphere, bland food. We ordered ceasar salad, fish tacos and a pizza. I could easily make better food at home. We drove 45 minutes to have a great dinner and found ourselves very disappointed with the food. We will not return.

This place is great. Located in the beautiful Carmel Valley, it provides some amazing food in a great atmosphere. Make sure to catch them on a nice sunny day (easy to do out here) to enjoy their extensive outdoor seating. If that's not good enough, its walking distance to nearly a dozen wine tasting rooms!

You've got to experience it to understand. We were seated in the sun, outside beside a wall of climbing Jasmine while we enjoyed incredible crab Benedicts and Cowgirl Wine. Don't look at the prices. It's worth it.

Loved this place. The roasted garlic appetizer was wonderful, great, friendly staff, and the crispy fish tacos with fresh cabbage and avocado were deeeelicious.

Today we had the sausage pizza and the beet salad. Both were very fresh and totally delicious. Just the right amount of meat on the pizza, and a perfect, light crust. Our server was very friendly and did a very good job as well. Sat outside and enjoyed butterflies and hummingbirds. This was our second visit and we will definitely be back!

The Corkscrew is adequate but has gone downhill from where it was 5 years ago. Not even bread was available with dinner.

This spot is fantastic! Fair rates, big dishes and the staff are regularly super nice.

Lovely, simple Californian cuisine. Service is warm and welcoming—they seated us at 8 even though the cafe closed at 8:30, and we didn’t feel rushed in the least bit even though we closed the place.All the food was flavored well with simple seasoning that let the fresh ingredients shine. The combination of corn and shishito pepper was unexpected but provided a bright contrast for what was a hearty, satisfying pizza.The dessert sounded good in theory but was too strong in rose flavor.Would love to go back for a meal when back in the area.

Love this place! Locally sourced and crazy yummy. The pear salad is out of this world amazing. Lunch and dinner cannot be beat.

I know you’re going to want to order the fish tacos. Resist the temptation. They’re not good. But do order a Lemonade if you’ve already made the mistake of getting a table.

Consistently good. Cozy outdoor area. Pizzas are amazing - and some very creative, like sweet potato duck confit?! Mushroom pizza is a favorite and pear salad - yum. Great service and reasonably priced. We come often and are never disappointed.

Hip cool and chill The fruit salad was mmm good and vegan cauliflower soup and was delish! Service was great food took a bit long but overall i enjoyed it very much.

We head to The Corkscrew Cafe regularly. The ambience, service, food, and wine selection are all top notch. We enjoy date nights there, but they also are kid friendly if you are with the family. Their children’s menus are repurposed Golden Books which is a nice touch.

A great place to re-energize after some wine tasting. The smell of the pizza as you walk in is welcoming. They have indoor seating as well as a huge outdoor section. We chose to sit outside and got seated next to a beautiful sculpture with fish in the bottom. The sound of water falling was very peaceful and the friendly fish kept us entertained. Service was quick, but nothing special. We got a pepperoni pizza and it was delicious! The crust was perfectly burnt on the edges, crispy, and very tasty! Good portion of pepperoni and lots of delicious cheese. Wine selection includes some of the wineries that have tasting rooms near by.Will definitely come back the next time we are in the area! There is a parking lot in the front and it is also within walking distance of many wineries nearby.

Awesome Pizza on a great patio...

What a find! The beet salad was exquisite -- an artful presentation of beautifully roasted beets, fennel and blood orange slices that was a meal in itself. The trout was perfectly prepared and served with broccolini and roasted heirloom potatoes. A wonderful chocolate tart (I think it was called "nougatine") capped off a perfect meal. Oh -- and 50% of all bottles of wine under $100 on Thursday nights. What's not to like?

One of my favorite places to go when in Carmel Valley for a meal. Their selection of pizza and pasta dishes is great. The back patio is wonderful to sit out on and enjoy the day.

Warm interior and service complement the wood stove pizzas, mains and salads. Try the roasted garlic starter. Small, but hearty menu. Nice local wine and beer list. Easy parking.

Beautiful little cafe with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The food was excellent and the food was great as well. I would recommend it for anyone passing through the Carmel Valley. Although I feel like I don't need to mention it but try some wines, they have a 1/2 price wine deal on Thursdays.

They sat us at a table in the corner where we both faced the walls, even though the restaurant was not crowded at all. The food was good but not great.

AMAZING! Everything was beyond delicious and the setvice was equally wonderful. Lemon meyer pizza..omg!

My mother always told me if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything. So to start the very greasy pizza tasted excellent. Social distancing was good, the wait staff never came near to provid a napkin or utensils and never came by, even once, to see if I needed something or to refill my drink glass!

It would be wise to call and verify that the restaurant is actually open during their regular business hours. Do not rely on hours posted online or their actual building. The restaurant is out of the way and I've now gone a few times to have them not be serving food even though they have the doors open and a hostess at the counter. Also be aware that they close for like an hour in the afternoon between lunch and dinner service (I arrived at 1:30 to be told I wasted my time going into Carmel Valley and to return at 4pm). If you do happen to get inconvenienced like we have, I highly recommend Roux next door. When they're open, they're actually open and their food is amazing.

I have not eaten here but I passed by and it's absolutely Whimsical I think it's a fabulous restaurant and I'm going to try it on another day

Great wood burning oven made pizzas. I like to decide how good a pizza place is based on their cheese pizza, it's a staple. Corkscrew did not disappoint. The chicken pizza was great too. The prosciutto lemon pizza I would not order again, get the sausage instead. The lemon chunks were too big. Instead of a light sour zest it was a bitter slice of pizza. I wish they has simply used a bit of lemon zest. Honest, had never seen using lemon on a proscuitto pizza before and I happy to have tried it. Corkscrew has a cute courtyard in the back for a relaxed sunny meal. We will be back.

Alyssa was our waitress. She was absolutely gorgeous! Her hair was beautiful and she has the face of an angel. She was also an excellent waitress. I tried not to stare at her but I didn't want to forget such a beautiful woman.

Clever menu and great tastes. Different menus on different visits. Attentive service without being pushy. Highly recommended.

We tried SEVERAL restaurants in the Carmel region and this one has all others beat on “best food”. It was our 13 year anniversary. Our server, Christian, provided the best experience a person could imagine. SERVICE WAS STELLAR. We highly recommend this place and will be back again.

Delicious fresh prepared food with quality ingredients. The mushroom pizza was yummy beyond expectations. Excellent prompt service to boot. All of this in a quaint courtyard garden setting. Very romantic! It's sure to impress. A+ experience.
